Void HarbingerThe Hollow Star

Stage 17 · Cosmic gravity control — pulls you in, spreads void orbs, and implodes your guard.

The Void Harbinger is the final guardian before the Dragon King, and the toughest of the three new bosses: 920 HP, 1.9× damage, and a kit designed to take away the one thing that kept you alive against the others — your spacing. Where the Sovereign let you choose your range and the Warlord forced you to hold ground, the Harbinger simply drags you where he wants you.

Void Pull erases the neutral game by yanking you into range, then Void Collapse shatters your guard once you are there. This is a fight about reading the pull, respecting the guard break, and refusing to panic when your positioning is stripped away. Survive his gravity and you have earned the final boss.

The three phases

Like every boss, Void Harbinger runs a three-phase AI that escalates at 66% and 33% remaining HP. Each transition adds aggression and speed — and opens a brief invincible intro you can use to charge Ki.

Phase 1 (100% – 66% HP)

He spreads Void Orbs and mixes in Void Pull to reposition you. Learn the pull’s start-up now — recognizing it is the whole fight — and punish him after the orbs, not during.

Phase 2 (66% – 33% HP)

Void Collapse enters the rotation and he begins casting Singularity. After a Pull drags you in, expect the guard-breaking Collapse — dodge, do not block, once you feel yourself pulled.

Phase 3 (33% – 0% HP)

Pull into Collapse into Singularity comes fast and his 1.9× damage makes the sequence lethal. Keep a reversal banked and dodge-roll on reaction to the pull — blocking is a trap here.

Signature moves & how to counter them

Void Orbs

Spread projectile. A spread of slow dark-energy orbs that clutter your space and set up his gravity mix-ups.

Counter: Weave through the gaps with depth-shifts (↑/↓) rather than blocking every orb — you want to be mobile when the Void Pull comes, not committed to a block.

Void Pull

Gravity vortex (launcher). A gravity well that drags you into point-blank range and launches — his tool for erasing your spacing.

Counter: React to the vortex start-up with a dodge-roll; its invincibility beats the pull. If you get pulled anyway, do NOT block — the guard break is coming next.

Void Collapse

Guard-break implosion. A point-blank implosion that shatters a held block and punishes anyone the Void Pull just dragged in.

Counter: Because it guard-breaks, blocking is a trap. Once you feel the pull, dodge-roll immediately — the roll’s invincibility beats both the pull and the implosion that follows.

How to beat Void Harbinger

Learn the Void Pull start-up first. Everything he does keys off dragging you in, so recognizing and dodge-rolling the pull on reaction is the single most important skill in the fight.

Never block after a pull. Void Collapse guard-breaks, so a held block just eats full damage. Dodge instead — the invincible roll beats the entire pull-into-collapse sequence.

Stay mobile through the orbs. Weave the Void Orbs with depth-shifts rather than committing to blocks, so you are always free to react when the gravity comes. Keep a reversal banked for phase 3.

Recommended Ki specials

Keep Ki Burst (50%) banked as an invincible reversal for the pull-into-collapse mix; cash Dragon Fist / Super Beam only on a confirmed opening after you dodge a Pull.

Common mistakes

  • Blocking after a Void Pull and eating the Void Collapse guard break.
  • Blocking every Void Orb and being locked in place when the pull lands.
  • Panicking when your spacing is stripped — the answer is a calm dodge-roll, not a mash.

TL;DR

Read and dodge-roll the Void Pull, never block the Collapse that follows, weave the orbs to stay mobile, and keep Ki Burst banked as a reversal.
