Items Guide: Potions & Bombs
Enemies sometimes drop a consumable item when they fall. Walk over it to pick it up — you carry one item at a time, and grabbing a new one replaces what you were holding. Press R to use it. The item you hold shows in the corner, so you always know what R will do.
Items are a moment-to-moment decision, not a loadout: heal now or save it for the boss, pop a damage buff before a big wave, or lob a bomb into a crowd. Because you can only hold one, picking a fresh drop means giving up the last — so grab on your terms.
Item Types
| Item | Effect | When to use |
|---|---|---|
| Health Potion | Restores 35% of max HP instantly | After a bad trade, or right before a boss phase |
| Ki Potion | Refills a large chunk of the Ki gauge | To fire an awakening or special immediately |
| Rage Vial | +40% damage for a short time | Melt a boss window or clear a dense wave |
| Iron Vial | Cuts incoming damage for a short time | Push through a corner or a heavy attacker |
| Haste Vial | Move + attack faster for a short time | Chase down runners, or reposition safely |
| Bomb | Thrown forward; bursts for heavy area damage | Open a packed screen from range |
Your attacks come from your character
Items are situational extras — your core kit is decided by the fighter you pick. Each character has its own style: the Fighter throws punches and kicks, Shadow fights with daggers and thrown shuriken, Titan swings a heavy hammer, and Sage casts elemental magic on every basic. See the move list for each character's buttons, and the beginner guide for the fundamentals.
Tips
- Dropped items despawn after a while — grab useful ones before they fade.
- Hold a Health Potion into a boss instead of using it on chip damage.
- A Bomb clears grouped enemies far better than it trades one-on-one.
- Rage + a launcher combo turns a single opening into a big punish.
